It is through Melville that Marianne learns of Josette’s affair with Dietrich.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT:

“We’re going to make this film the way the French fought their Resistance.” That was the audacious challenge I set myself, my cast and crew. Like the Resistance, we didn’t have much in the way of money or resources, but we did have a dedicated band rallying behind a clear vision and a commitment to see this mission through to the end.

To me it is imperative Independent Filmmakers strive for bold visions, to forge film forward and find new and provocative ways of expressing ideas, emotions and our world. Mon nom est MARIANNE - as a truly independent film - gave me the opportunity to challenge myself and in doing so perhaps create something we haven’t seen before.
