Where Can I Find A Legal Copy of MARIANNE?
MARIANNE is distributed in Sweden by Njutafilms and is available on DVD and VOD from April 11th 2012.
The DVD has English subtitles and is region 2 PAL, which means if you don’t speak English you can still watch the film as long as your player supports the European PAL standard and can play region 2 (Europe) DVDs.
The special features on the DVD are:

If you have somehow aquired the film illegally because it hasn’t been available to you, and you want to support the production of the film, you are very welcome to do so.
MARIANNE is an independent film, financed not by state funds, studio cash or rich investors. Every penny of the budget comes from the pocket of the filmmaker, plus a 75000 USD loan on 8.63% interest repayable in 19 months. It was supposed to be repayed by the end of 2011, but has been extended to the end of 2012.
The best way you can support this independent production is to buy a DVD.
That way, the distribution company Njutafilms will also recieve their fair share of the profits.
Njutafilms is a great distribution company, owned by film lovers who also need to make ends meet and get back their investment in the film.

Chris, Will, I really appreciate your support.
At the moment, I’m still searching for a distributor outside Scandinavia who will take the film, however it’s proved difficult for three reasons:
1) It’s not a straight genre film, meaning it’s more of a drama-horror. That makes it more difficult to sell to audiences.
2) It’s not in English, which again makes it harder to sell to audiences.
3) The economy right now prevents us all to take chances. It’s just bad timing.
I could make it available via VOD on certain international platforms even without a foreign distributor, but that would most likely kill any chances to sell it after that.
So for now, I’m still searching for a solution to this.
