One of the films greatest strengths is the feeling of ambiguity throughout the film. Is Krister really being plagued by a a ghostly spirit or is he just losing his mind?

For those of you looking for gore and films like the recent glut of Hollywood horror then Marianne probably is not for you. However, for those looking for a film that has genuine horror and suspense then I can highly recommend Marianne.
